Nelson & Nelson, CPA's is the oldest existing accounting firm
established in South Dakota and continuing in active business today.
James C. Nelson founded the firm in 1927. James was the father
of Wesley C. Nelson and the grandfather of Charles A. Nelson. Wes
joined Nelson & Nelson, CPA's in
1957 after graduating from the University of South Dakota. Charles
Nelson graduated from the University of South Dakota and became a
partner at the firm in 1984.
Wes and Chuck have upheld the integrity and personal service that
James established for the firm more than 80 years ago.

Our firm provides a variety of accounting services based on the
needs of your business - from consultation to full-time bookkeeping.
We can provide you with monthly,
quarterly or annual compilations as well as sales tax returns, bank
reconciliations and 1099 preparation.
Consulting
We provide consultation in many areas, from estate planning and tax
planning to small business startup, acquisition or sale. We can
serve as a representative on notices or
letters received from the IRS involving individual or business tax
