An aging global workforce requires that you help employees plan for
the future while addressing your business realities of today. Aon’s
retirement practice has been navigating the many legal,
financial and social complexities of designing and administering
retirement plans for more than 60 years.
Your organization spends millions every year on retirement
plans. To the extent that your plans include pension or other post
employment promises like health care, you are also managing the
risks to your income statement, balance sheet and cash flow from
unfavorable changes in interest rate, investment returns and
longevity that affect the value of these commitments to your
employees.
Aon’s retirement and investment consultants help you quantify costs
and risks with multi-year projections of plan financials and provide
comprehensive advice and solutions to help manage the
financials through plan design, plan right-sizing and
investment/hedging policy, including immunization and termination.
Whether you are an experienced professional or just embarking on
your career, Aon has an opportunity for you. As the world’s premier
insurance brokerage and consulting firm, with offices in
more than 120 countries, Aon offers a tremendous variety of career
paths and cultures around the globe.
Our mind-set is truly global. Aon thrives by sharing information
across borders while encouraging creativity and independent
thinking. We welcome diversity, and we value continuous learning
from
formal programs and from each other.

Frontenac Company - A Chicago-Based Private Investment Firm
Frontenac partnered with Stolberg to grow the company, the nation’s
leading provider of discovery, trial consulting, and presentation
services to trial attorneys, law firms and in-house counsel at
major companies, operating in eight of the top ten legal markets in
the U.S.
Frontenac Company is a Chicago-based private investment firm founded
in 1971. We are currently investing from our ninth equity fund.
We invest in high-quality, closely-held companies, primarily in
services businesses, through our CEO1ST investment approach:
partnering with proven executives to acquire and grow successful
mid-sized companies. We are patient investors, allowing the time for
companies to realize their full potential.
We have extensive experience in meeting the needs of mid-sized
business owners, almost always families and owner-operators, as they
address complex business transition issues of liquidity,
management enhancement, and growth planning. We have been involved
with 200+ family business transitions over the past 35 years.
When Frontenac was founded in 1971 the Laird Norton Company, a
family office that was then our sole investor, was asked to name the
firm. Laird Norton chose to pay homage to its
long-standing involvement in lumbering by recalling the Frontenac, a
paddle-steamer that once transported logs along the Mississippi. She
was said to be the sturdiest ship in the fleet and able to
“float on a light dew” – an apt metaphor for a company in the risk
capital business.
Our firm began with a single family investor, Laird Norton Company,
in 1971. Since then our experience with family offices has given us
a clear understanding of their goals as taxable investors –
and thus a shared focus on maximizing long-term, after-tax capital
appreciation.
The capital for our current fund, Frontenac IX Private Capital LP,
comes from 70 families and a few financial institutions, all of whom
share our orientation toward patiently building closely-held,
mid-sized businesses. Because of our investors' long investment
horizon we are able, when appropriate, to retain our portfolio
companies for many more years than a typical investment firm.
